"SUPERNUT"

The superficial skin of the edible part of hazelnut is an important source of highly bioavailable antioxidants, today managed as biomass.
The "SUPERNUT" project proposes economic and green technologies for the enhancement of this resource for food and cosmetic use. Fosan is coordinating a grouping of supply companies for the organization of the process of collecting and processing organic hazelnuts skin by technologies compatible with EU requirements N. 834/2007.

FOSAN - FONDAZIONE STUDIO DEGLI ALIMENTI E DELLA NUTRIZIONE UMANA

The Fosan – “Fondazione Studio degli Alimenti e Nutrizione” is a non-profit Scientific Association focused to train and develop studies, research, surveys in the field of food and nutrition. For over 30 years we carry out surveys, studies and research in the food sector, both on our own initiative and on behalf of public and private bodies. We publish the “Journal of Food Science and Nutrition”, the oldest italian Nutrition Science Magazine in the field of nutrition and human nutrition, and specialist monographs and, conference proceedings. We promote research , assigning grants to students, teachers, researchers and postgraduate joungs. We organize training courses on quality, hygiene and technology in the agri-food sector.
