Wia: Conall Laverty, Austin Spivey

Conall Laverty (29) is the Founder & CEO of Wia, one of the world’s leading Internet of Things cloud platforms. Wia provides a simple way for people and things to talk to each other with just a few lines of code. The platform is now being used by developers in more than 85 countries and has attracted over €1m in venture capital funding with backers including Suir Valley Ventures, Enterprise Ireland and NDRC. He is a key figure in the Irish Internet of Things ecosystem.

Previously Conall was CTO of Big Motive, a creative technology company based in London and Belfast. There he architected and developed products for BBC, Net-a-Porter, Channel 4 and Nokia. He is also Technical Director of Woogie, an innovation consultancy who has worked with Cambridge Silicon Radio, Deezer and startups throughout Ireland. He attained a First Class Honourary Masters from Queen’s University Belfast in Computer Games Development.

Austin Spivey is an experienced operations, events and marketing professional. Collaborative team player with track record of high impact project delivery in growing and established companies of 10-225 employees.
Trusted direct report to C-level executives for over 5 years. Successful delivery of multiple projects in operations and marketing from €100k - €4m. Thrives in cross functional, multi-site and multi-national environments. Austin Graduated from the Fashion institute of Technology with honours in International Trade and Marketing in New York City. After working in NYC for 4 years she moved to San Francisco to continue on her path with Startups. In September 2017 she moved to Dublin Ireland to join the team at Wia.
