CARIMP is a proget born to support and help students with learning disabilities, both in school and at home. We believe education to be a fundamental for the full accomplishment of the individual.
The App has been designed to help in a substantial way the dyslexic during study and learning, but it can also be used by normal readers to study easily and rapidly especially foreign languages, at all ages.
Tablets are functional for they are easy and fast to use. Bringing a tablet in their backpack is practical and above all it is no source of “embarrassment” for a student with LD.
The App is a powerful compensatory instrument able to help student from second grade onwards in doing their homework.
Our character has been studied to be readable by dyslexics.
There are similar letters and numbers (such as the e and the a, the e and the r) or specular ( such as the b,d,p,q,and h,n,m the f and t, c and g, M and W, F and 7; B and 8) which are often confused. ImpReading Font has been created to differentiate these letters so to make them recognizable and therefore easy to read.
Often letters are turned upside-down, crossed, the lines merge and letters move inside the word thus forming words with different meanings. Our Font has been designed to overcome all these problems.
Serifs are useful to differentiate letters and spaces are fundamental in allowing the reader to identify the word quickly and correctly.
What makes ImpReading Font unique is the fact that it is very easy to reproduce it by hand: it helps dyslexics to read what they write and dysgraphics in the graphic reproduction of the letters.
ImpReading App has three reading modes:
1. ORIGINAL TEXT:
a voice reads the text and the background colour may be changed.
2. DOUBLE SCREEN:
the tablet screen is split in two; on the right you will have the original text and on the left the modified text (ImpReading); the cursor indicates the line that is being read. You can also change the background colour, highlight text, enlarge or scale down the characters, and increase or decrease voice speed.
3. USE IMPREADING FONT:
On the screen you will visualize only text in ImpReading Font. The voice reads while the cursor points at the line that is being read. You can also change the.
The Voice Reader:
Supports when doing your homework and in understanding the text. A voice reads for an easy and fast comprehension and learning.
Fast page search:
The Voice can read in English, French, German, Italian and Spanish.
The developed innovative elements are many; ImpReading Font is unique, the cursor point at the line that “text to speech” is reading, the Voice Reader turns automatically the page; the possibility to have both the original text and the ImpReading Font text; the possibility to choose where the Voice Reader is to start reading without having to start the page from the beginning; the possibility to search for a page rapidly; the possibility to store any page to access it faster, and many other functions.
