Co-m@king_LAB: a creative fabrication lab at school
Computer Science's teaching and learning activities are based on the use of Open Hardware platforms (Arduino) and Software (Linux Edubuntu Lab - Scratch, MIT App Inventor, Telegram, etc.) also dealing with very important research topics, such as: Open Data, Third Industrial Revolution , Making, Internet of Things.
Born in Lecce, where he lives, he graduated in Computer Science Engineering, and he achieved a couple of Master's Degrees (Logistics, Web Design).
He is a PhD in Management Engineering.
Since 2001/2002 he teaches Computer Science in High School (currently at the Liceo Scientifico "V. Lilla" of Oria (BR)).
He carried out research (he was visiting student at DIKU in Copenhagen for nine months between 2005 and 2006) and teaching activity at the University (Bari Polytechnic, 2007).
He also performed as consultant expert of technology transfer (Polo Tecnologico di Casarano, 2007-2009), data analyst for the labour market (Province of Lecce and Foggia, 2010-2012) and expert in EU funding manager (since 2011).
He loves Robotics, and introduced the study of educational robotics in didactics through the use of open source tools (Linux, Arduino, Raspberry pi, Makey Makey, 3D printer) and Lego Mindstorms.
In the recent past, he introduced paths of civic hacking through the use of Open Data by bot telegrams, combining citizenship and computer programming skills, following the idea of a new digital humanism.
