3D PRINTING OF BIOMEDICAL APPARATUS FOR ACCESSIBILITY

The course aims to introduce participants to new digital manufacturing technologies applied to the medical and biomedical field. The module, in fact, provides technical and design knowledge of 3D printing aimed at biomedical. This path gives the opportunity to participants to learn to work with low-cost and cutting-edge tools that can represent the future answer for the search for solutions in the biomedical field. Finally, participants will have the opportunity to experiment with the practical assembly of biomedical prostheses for the upper limb.

Marco Abbro, osteopath and medical student, has been collaborating for years with specialized companies in digital manufacturing such as Meedarch and Mediterranean Fablab. Collaborates with Open BioMedical Initiative actively in the dissemination of lowcost biomedical projects for developing countries and the third world. Coordinator of BIOlogic, the first Biofablab of southern Italy, who with his projects received mentions and won the CNI Scintille 2017 award
