Digital wood. Modeling and milling for wood

The course aims to achieve the three-dimensional modeling of an object to be made of wood and simulate machining with CAM software for milling.
In particular, we will address the general notions of digital fabrication and its applications in the wood sector, to then analyze the best way to design and model a geometry in view of its realization. Once the drawing tools for geometric solutions are provided, the course describes the Rhino Cam interface showing its main commands and functions. The participants will be shown the concepts of processing through the use of CNC machines and the possible advantages deriving from them for the creation of new and complex geometries.
