My sustainable city

the culture of sustainable mobility always starts with ideas

The Prize contest is promoted by Eni, ACI, and the magazine ENERGIA

We are looking for solutions that help increase the quality of life of citizens who daily move and / or improve air quality in large urban centers, for a safe, sustainable city and mobility, accessible to everyone.

Who can partecipate

Participation in the contest  is free and, in addition to expressly addressing the Maker community, is open to everyone (natural persons, Italian or foreign, companies, bodies, associations, foundations, and/or other legal persons, with residence or main office in Italy or in another country of the European Union).

The Prize was born from the desire to identify, support and spread the development of innovative technological solutions in the matter of mobility that can make it possible to raise the quality of life for citizens who move about every day, and/or to improve air quality in major urban centres, for a city and for safe, sustainable mobility that is accessible to all. These designs should leverage the following factors:

  • analysis and the possible procedures for managing the big data available on urban mobility, and in particular on the traffic flows of means of transport (private and public, including car sharing) in order to optimize mobility systems and existing services (e.g. areas covered by car sharing, public transportation routes, use of car parks, information on available services, access to services, etc.) to benefit citizens and the environment;
  • the design of innovative solutions for mobility infrastructures (e.g. innovative road organization aimed at innovative and sustainable modes of transport) and for mobility services (e.g. new rules for organizing collective transport services), with the identification of the hardware requirements (e.g. construction materials and technologies, means of transport, car parks dedicated to car sharing and intermodal commuting between private and public vehicles) and software requirements (apps/data usable to facilitate information on traffic and the availability of car parks/available vehicles, for the online purchasing of tickets and/or services), in order to target further optimizations; preparation of the technical and economic feasibility analysis, including the cost/benefits estimate, in support of the proposed solutions.

The Contest plans to assign and award 3 prizes, one from each of the Promoters:

  • 1 package of hospitality (overnight stay, meals, passes and walkabouts) during the  Formula One Italian Grand Prix in Monza , including a visit to the Eni’s Research Center in Bolgano, the heart of research on high performance green fuels.The prize will be awarded by Eni for a total maximum value of 10,000 Euro (Euro 10,000 / 00).
